11kV Polymer Horn Gap Fuse also called Ceramic Insulator Horn Gap Fuse, HG Fuse.
The Polymer Pin insulators shall conform to IEC:61109 and IEC:61952 (latest amendment) in all respects with regard to mechanical and electrical requirements.. This comes under the category of High-Voltage Fuses conforming to IS:9385 and IEC:60282 (latest amendment)

Application
Horn gap fuses are used to protect transformers and systems by interrupting large currents by disconnecting transmission power distribution lines. They are meant for outdoor applications and are suitable for vertical mounting. The equipment to be supplied against this Specification shall be suitable for mounting on outdoors structures for protection of transformers.
This fuse is useful for 11kV overhead electrical/ power/ energy/ voltage distribution/ transmission lines/ systems. Horn Gap Fuse is also used in substations.
The insulators are mounted on channels with arcing horns on top of porcelain pin type insulators.
