Insulators

COMPOSITE SILICONE INSULATORS
Composite insulators were introduced with the basic idea to create high performance insulators. It consists of a combination of different materials, which perform different duties in the insulator function corresponding to their particular strength and properties, The end fittings are typically made of metal, such as forged steel or aluminum, For line insulators, a high degree of standardization has been achieved for the end fittings, which enables the easy replacement of existing conventional insulators by composite solutions.

The glass fiber reinforced resin rod which forms the core of the insulator is responsible for bearing the mechanical loads, which can be tension, bending and compression, or a combination of all three, depending on the application and load scenario.

The polymeric composite silicone lnsulators have been developed using silicone rubber, The new type of silicone rubber was examined by the accelerated weathering tests and applied to the shed material of the polymeric surge Arrestor, The tests confirmed that the silicone rubber had an excellent weather resistance and high water repellency during the long term weathering tests.

Shree Bajali packers offer a wide range of composite line insulators in silicone Rubber with host of end fitting to exact requirements of customers from 11-x33kvas per IEC61109-2
